Follow-up is an extremely important practice that can quickly bring in revenue.
If you have left a trail of happy customers, why not call them all back and ask for referrals? Why not offer them some of the new products we just added to the website? Reach out to all of the old incoming business calls to see if they are still in the market for window film. Contact all of your previous website and social media inquiries and offer them a 1 time discount. Stand apart from the competition by mailing a personalized letter to their home.
Checking in with previous customers is a good way to build rapport with your clientele to keep them thinking about you. So when their friend gets a new car they remember you and can refer you to their friend. Also, you can follow-up with them to pitch new products and services. For example, call them back and try to sell them the new KDX security/safety film for their home windows.
You’d be surprised what your customers will do for you if you just ask.
The best way to follow-up with your previous customers is to make a script and have a plan for what you’re going to say.
Here is an example of a follow-up call script:
–Hello, Mr.Customer, this is Joe the Tinter, How are you?
–The reason for my call is to let you know that I am now offering the new KDX Anti-Glare window film for your rear view mirrors.
–This film will significantly reduce the glare in your mirrors so that you have a more comfortable drive.
–I just wanted to let you know this technology is now available and I have it in stock.
Here is an example of a follow-up call to build rapport and ask for a referral:
–Hello, Mr.Customer! This is Joe the Tinter, how are you?
–I was just calling to follow-up on the tint I installed. I want to make sure you don’t have any problems, questions, or concerns.
–Oh, that’s great. I am glad you’re very satisfied and aren’t having any problems.
–Well, if you do have any questions or concerns, please let me know right away!
At this point, you could ask for a referral, ask them to follow you on social media, or offer them a deal if they send you someone.
–One more thing, do you know anyone who bought a car, or someone who needs to replace their old tint? I’ll throw in a free anti-glare mirror kit for half off
if you send me someone that buys.
You could also say:
–One more thing, I’m working on building my Facebook page, I’ll go ahead and text you a link to my page, is that ok?
–Ok, Great! Thank you!
