Why is the bottom of the window peeling after rolling up the windows?
Method 1: If you’ve just tinted a window, and now the bottom edge of the film is peeling off after rolling the window up and down, you most likely didn’t slip the film deep enough into the seal. This means that when the window is rolled down, the edge of the film is catching the seal and pulling it backward. It may take a few times to happen, but eventually, the film will fail on that edge and start to come off. This causes a snowball effect and creates a big air gap. To avoid this, don’t cut the film too short, leave a little bit of excess, and make sure to slip the film well inside of the seal. This way, the edge will never catch the seal when the windows are being rolled up.
