How to cut out side windows on a 1988 GMC truck

Method 1: If you’re confident in your cutting abilities, leave the window in and cut around the screw caps on the glass and tint normally.    Method 2: Remove the window by taking off the screw caps. If the screws look like they might strip, you can try heating them a bit with a heat gun before unscrewing them to get a better grip. Careful not to break the gasket as it may be brittle and easily cracked.
