Do Freezing Temperatures Affect the Tinting Process?

Answer 1: Use warm water instead of hot water, as this will stop your hands from freezing.    Answer 2: If you live in a state with a very cold climate during the winter, the residual application solution can actually freeze overnight. This is usually an issue if temperatures dip below 25 degrees during the night. If the residual application solution freezes, it can cause the film to freeze and move away from the window. So if you’re tinting in the winter and you live in a very cold state, try not to leave your finished cars outside in the night - especially if the weather forecast calls for freezing temperatures. If this happens to you, you will have to pull off the tint and re-do the entire job.    Answer 3: In cold states with freezing temperatures, it can take a very long time for the film to dry completely. In some places where temperatures dip below -30 Celsius, a single car can take up to 45 days to dry completely.
