To help reduce the nasty smog in the air, homeowners and offices should upgrade their buildings to make them more energy efficient and cleaner. Also, these investments into your building and homes will pay you dividends year after with cheaper electricity. What are some of the cleaner air options to add to your home and building, they include:

  • Insulate your building and create a tight envelope with
    • Caulk around windows & doors
    • Add heat rejecting home tint to the windows to reflect the heat before it can enter your home and office. Dual Reflective Ceramic 5% is a great heat rejecter
    • Add insulation to your attic
  • Change out your old water heater and install a heat pump water heater. The new ones only require 120 volt hook up (not 240 volt)
  • Bring in an induction stove and toss out that methane polluting gas stove that leaks dirty air inside your home that causes asthma and other health issues
  • Plant bushes & trees close to windows to offer shade
  • Add solar panels and energy storage batteries
  • Buy and use an e-bike
  • Buy an EV & add ceramic auto tint to the windows
  • Buy only renewable green energy from you local utility
  • Start a solar PV co-op
