I’m seeing newer car models with a built-camera for driver-assisted technology near the windshield. Is it okay to remove the camera or get it wet?
Answer A.) When tinting windows with a camera nearby, it’s important that you don’t get it wet. This is especially true when you’re dealing with driver-assisted technology since this is safety equipment designed to protect the driver. Answer B.) Whatever you do, don’t tamper with the camera in any way. Doing so could make you liable if the customer gets into an accident. Answer C.) It might be a good idea to avoid the area entirely when doing your window tinting services - purely because of liability concerns.
