How to tint the deep pocket windows on older Ford pickup trucks
Method 1: Make a small back cut on the inside of the rubber lining to make it completely uniform. Cut out your pattern with about an eighth of an inch past the rubber and then cut your sides and top evenly. It should go right in without any issue. Method 2: If you have the time and budget, you may get a cleaner final result by removing the glass altogether and tinting that way instead. The older models tend to be very dirty and impossible to cleanly tint while in place. It should only take 4-5 minutes to remove the glass and this way you can minimize any light gaps on the edges.
