How to tint a 1997 Ford Thunderbird
Method 1: Do very little shrinking on the bottom of the back glass. When installing, anchor the bottom portion of the back glass on the center of the film, and reverse squeegee from the corners inward to the center. It can be helpful if someone holds a heat gun over top to keep it down. Watch out for the hidden screw on the outer corners keeping the gasket on. Consider removing the deck tray as it will give you about three extra inches of room to work with. To make shrinking the back glass easier, make long fingers just above the defroster lines going towards the back. Be careful of the black butyl on the bottom of the glass, as if it gets on your cards or any other tools, it can be very difficult to remove.
