How do you avoid scratches on Tesla windshields?

Answer 1: Newer glass is much easier to scratch. While you might have been able to get away with cutting on the glass in the past, this is no longer viable. Use a sharpie to create the pattern before transferring to a peel board. Cut the pattern there.   Answer 2: Use glass aid.   Answer 3: Place a button underneath your film before cutting. The snapper from a red dot works perfectly for this task as well if you can’t find a button.    Answer 4: Use tabs to keep the blade from contacting the glass. You can use a variety of objects from this, including pieces of shipping straps.    Answer 5: Place a piece of clear plastic underneath the film. Next, use a sharpie to mark the release liner before cutting the pattern on a table. If you’re having trouble seeing the sharpie on the film itself, opt for a silver-colored sharpie or marker instead.    Answer 6: Only use stainless steel blades when cutting on glass. Avoid using carbon blades at all costs, as these will cause excessive etch marks. Also, you should use blades that are brand new; one that has never been used before. Cut at a lower angle.    Answer 7: Scratches and etch marks become less common if you let the film and the glass cool down before cutting.    Answer 8: If you start cutting with an electric scissor, you can avoid touching the glass entirely.    Answer 9: Mark the glass with a white tire marker or a wax pencil. This will be easier to see compared to a black marker.    Answer 10: Use pre-cut patterns.
