How do you avoid getting burn marks when shrinking fingers?

Answer 1: Some films are more susceptible to burn marks than others. Try switching up your film.    Answer 2: If the fingers are especially big, try splitting them.    Answer 3: Try moving from left to right faster as you heat the fingers.   Answer 4: Try approaching the fingers from a number of different angles and positions as you heat the finders.    Answer 5: Don’t get discouraged if a new finger pops up every time you successfully shrink a finger. You may need to repeat the process three or four times on any given section before you finally achieve satisfactory results.    Answer 6: Don’t rush your heating process. Take your time and be careful.   Answer 7: Try using a lower heat setting.
