TintDepot has introduced an anti-virus clear silver film to protect surfaces which has a PS (pressure sensitive) adhesive. The description of the film is:

- Test Method: ISO 21702 – kills 99.9% of:

- A lab reported that the film kills 99.9% of influenza virus including H1N1 and Covid 19 within 30 minutes of contact time. Exposed surfaces remain virus free when tested again at one hour and then at 24 hours. The film also kills bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus Aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Salmonella typhimurium within a 10-minutes time frame of exposure

Anti-Virus Film description
Silver Anti-virus film (clear) is effective in killing bacteria and viruses including COVID 19. Silver is a proven material for deactivating bacteria and viruses. Therefore, this silver laminate reduces the ability of virus and bacteria being transmitted through a surface being touched or handled by one person and then another. The intended use of the anti-virus silver clear film are places where there has been exposure to bacteria and viruses. This laminate adheres to surfaces that may be exposed both directly and indirectly to bacteria & viruses.
Silver nanoparticles destroy epidermis of the virus and kill it (Ionic reaction).
Further expectations of the laminate include:
- Laminate is an additional measure to reduce the risk of cross contamination
- Laminate is an add-on product to apply to surfaces such as touch screens, counter tops, elevators, workstations, hand devices, and other touchable surfaces
