What temperature should you set your heatgun at while tinting?

Answer 1: Set it at maximum heat. The setting doesn’t matter so much, because you can control the effect by holding the heatgun away from the film at a suitable difference. Just don’t hold it too close and keep moving it around. 

Answer 2: 950 degrees. At this temperature, it’s possible to shrink a back window in under five minutes. 

Answer 3: Between 850 and 1000 degrees. 

Answer 4: While you need a pretty high heat level to get good results, it’s actually more important to develop a good technique. Instead of worrying about heat, you should try to master your technique as much as possible.
