My customer is complaining about a “squeaky window.” When they pull the side windows up and down, they say there’s a squeaking sound that wasn’t there before. What should I do?
Answer A.) Try cleaning the outside seal with a tri-edge and slip. This should solve the issue. Answer B.) Sometimes, the molding can get dry and creaky due to residue from dried soapy solution. To deal with this issue, put some silicone spray on a paper towel and emulsify the rubber. This should help moisten the dry molding. Answer C.) You can also simply apply silicone spray to the rubber gasket and the film itself. This should deal with most squeaking issues.
