How to tint the backglass on a BMW i8
Method 1: Remove the glass and tint it, then put it back in. To remove the glass, pull the outside lower window trim by prying it with something. Inside the cavity are two yellow tabs. Insert your bulldozer inside and press against the yellow tabs. Once the tabs are unclipped, the whole window can slide out. Method 2: Tint it in place. The back glass on these models can be tight but is generally easier to install. To make things easier, position yourself inside the car and have someone pass you the film before installing it. It’s also easier to install if you’re able to bottom load it.
