How to take care of fingertips that are cracking from heavy window tinting work
Method 1: The constant pressing of window film can eventually rub your fingertips raw and cause the skin to crack. Once it’s cracked, it gets stuck in a vicious cycle of healing a bit, then cracking open again and being worse than before. The key is to give the fingertips as much moisture as possible. For a quick fix to take the pain away while you’re working, you can put super glue on top of the wound as a way to close it up and prevent further cracking. After work, soak it in lotion, and then while you sleep, wear vinyl or rubber gloves to lock in the moisture. The lotion and gloves strategy should eliminate any serious cracking wounds within three to seven days.
