How do you avoid burning the edges of the doors and windows when you using a torch?

Answer 1: Keep the torch far away from the surface and move it quickly across areas. This will ensure that the edges are adequately heated without burning them.    Answer 2: Never use a torch on the windshield, as you can break the glass under certain circumstances.    Answer 3: You might want to avoid using a torch altogether. Even if there is a slight imperfection in the glass, it can get too hot and crack. In some cases, the entire windshield can even explode.    Answer 4: Use a green camping torch rather than map heat, as the latter burns too hot.    Answer 5: Get a heat gun instead, as it is safer and more effective.    Answer 6: Get a rosebud tip for your torch from a welding supplies store. This will allow you to control the flame to a greater degree.
