Can you tint soft tops?

Answer 1: If the soft top is plastic, you’ll need to use tail light film. This is really the only viable option, and many tinters believe that it’s not worth the effort. This is because tail light vinyl typically offers poor levels of clarity and is quite expensive. In addition, mistakes can be costly. Replacing a soft-top roof can be quite a drag, so you may want to research the cost of a replacement before you accept this job.    Answer 2: You may be able to spray the plastic windows with a simple spray-on solution, although you’ll need to tape the area beforehand. This is also permanent and cannot be removed. In addition, the results may be less than satisfactory.    Answer 3: It may be possible to use Luxewrap, although results once again leave much to be desired.    Answer 4: Some soft tops use real glass. In this case, you can definitely tint as normal. However, it’s probably not worth the effort if the windows are made from plexi or vinyl.
