After a new windshield is installed, do you need to wait for the glass to cure before tinting it?
Answer 1: You might want to wait 3-5 days before tinting. It’s better to err on the side of caution, as you want a good seal before you start tinting. Answer 2: Generally speaking, you can tint windows the day after they’re installed. Answer 3: If you tint a window on the same day it is installed, you may encounter a number of issues. You could get glue all over your equipment. The key is not to be too aggressive and avoid pushing too hard. The worst-case scenario is having to redo the window because of the glue around the edges. This is even more likely if you fail to clean the window properly before tinting.
