- Tesla has begun to offer PPF and vinyl wraps for model 3 and model y; getting ready for CyberTruck wraps when / if the Cybertruck is mass produced. The PPF wrap is about $5,000 and the vinyl wrap is $7,000 to $8,000 each. btw, we offer one 60″ x 50′ roll of PPF for about $1,000 and the filmcut software is $99 per month. So, you can learn a new trade and by the tools to wrap yourself.
- BMW launches it’s cheapest electric motorcycle the CE 02 for $7,600. This will be a commuter electric bike.
- EV sales in the US hit 8% market share with growth by Volvo, Kia, Mercedes & Hyundai; this is over a 50% increase over last year. EV sales S curve happening in real time. It could happen faster in the US since EV tech is evolving faster in China, Europe & Tesla and that tech genie is out of the bottle. Battery prices are falling which leads to EV production costs to fall too.
- Cost of EV hits par with ICEV (again the S curve happening Tony Seba!)
- Infinity of Japan Car Inc is launching it’s first EV, the Vision Qe. Infinity is Nissan’s luxury brand. But don’t hold your breath waiting for the Qe; it’s not expected to hit the market until 2027. By then, most EV mfgs will be on their 3rd, 4th or 5th EV generation versions. Infinity’s market share in the US is in a free fall; dropping almost 50% this year.
- Toyota is investing in solid state batteries. Toyota needs to make a compelling EV like a e-celica, e-supra, e-camry, e-corolla…. But good luck Japan Car Inc.
- Kia will launch the EV2, a cheaper EV at a MSRP around $30,000
