Can you apply film to Low-E glass?

Method 1: You may apply tint film to Low-E glass, but it will negate the ability of the coating to reflect FIR back into the room. If you have to apply film to Low-E glass, keep in mind that the coating is very sensitive and will probably scratch if you try to scrape it clean with a razor blade. It also means that if you come back to replace the film under warranty years later, removing the film without damaging the coating will be near impossible. However, in some areas in the world, like Australia for instance, this coating is located on the inside of the glass, so you may not need to worry about these factors.
